OPTD Desk Privacy Policy

OPTD Desk (“the app”) is a Windows desktop application developed and published by Brandva LLC(“Brandva”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your trading data stays on your computer.

Data that stays on your device

The app reads files from trading platforms installed on your computer (such as Sierra Chart trade activity logs) and stores what it derives in a local database inside your desk folder. This includes:

• Fills, orders, positions, balances and P&L
• Journal entries, notes, tags and reviews
• Market data, indicators and setup definitions
• App settings and your licence key

We do not receive, upload or have access to any of this data. The app contains no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting.

The AI agent

The app can launch an AI coding agent (Anthropic's Claude Code) or another model you configure, such as a local model or your own API key. The agent runs under your own account with that provider, not ours. When you use it, the prompts and any files you let it read are sent to that provider and are governed by its privacy policy and your agreement with it. Brandva does not see, proxy or store that traffic. If you never start the agent, no data is sent to an AI provider.

Licensing and updates

Licence keys are verified offline on your device. When the app checks for updates or downloads new skills and content, it requests them from our servers. Those requests reveal your IP address and app version to the server, as any download does. They do not include your trading data.

Purchases and support

If you buy a licence, our payment processor collects your payment details and we receive your name, email address and purchase record so we can issue and manage your licence. If you email support, we receive whatever you choose to send. We use this information only to provide the product and support, we do not sell it, and we keep it only as long as needed for those purposes and our legal obligations.

Your choices

Because your data lives in files on your computer, you control it: you can export, back up or delete your desk folder at any time, and uninstalling the app removes it from your system along with any data you delete. Not trading or financial advice

The app is a research and journaling tool. It does not place trades or connect to your broker for execution.
